ABOUT ANNA

An ex-city professional, mother of three and avid fan of Grand Designs, DIY SOS and all interiors shows in between, Anna re-trained at the National Design Academy and has a Diploma in Professional Interior Design. Relishing the opportunity to now put her creative talents to good use, Anna is also able to draw on complementary skills from her previous City career to build relationships and trust with clients and suppliers and establish good, open communication that is based on honesty and integrity at all times.
Anna is inspired to design beautiful homes that not only look stunning but that help her clients to use their space in the best possible way. This is her passion and she believes it is possible no matter how large or small the budget. Anna takes the time to understand her clients: how they live, what is important to them, their style, taste and budget, their needs and their wishes, and as a result, she creates truly personal, bespoke designs, ‘a home should always be an expression of yourself and your family’.
Anna offers simplicity and flexibility in her charging structure with fees paid in stages according to a pre-agreed scope of work and design brief. Whether you are undertaking a new build, renovation or a room redesign, we can create a design package that works for you. Satisfaction in the end product is always paramount.
SERVICES
Whether you are undertaking a new build, a renovation project or simply want to update a single room, Anna Patten Design can help.
The service is bespoke to your needs because every project, large or small, is different. Planning your space, creating a design concept that includes paint colours, wallpaper and fabrics and selecting furniture and flighting can be a daunting task but Anna ensures that the process is enjoyable and efficient.
Broadly, the design process follows three key stages:
STEP 1 - FREE INITIAL CONSULTATION
This is the most important stage. Getting to know you, your needs and aspirations, your likes and dislikes and your lifestyle are vital to understanding how you would like your space to be. This is a no-obligation visit in which Anna will listen to your requirements, explain how she works and the services she can provide. She will then send you a proposal, summarising the brief and explaining fees and timing.
STEP 2 - DESIGN
On appointment Anna will arrange another meeting at your property to take detailed measurements and photographs of the room(s) involved. She will then create a design scheme to fit the brief using 2D and 3D CAD drawings, concept and sample boards. Items that can be included in the design are colour schemes, space planning, flooring, furniture, lighting, soft furnishings and accessories. Where building work is required, 2D plans and elevations can be produced to clearly communicate the design to the trades. Anna will also prepare a detailed inventory of all furniture, fixtures and fittings together with costs and will present the design scheme to you.
STEP 3 - SOURCING & PROJECT COORDINATION
Anna holds trade accounts with a large range of furniture, lighting and fabric suppliers. Once the design has been accepted, Anna can source all items for you, organising the payments and deliveries. Anna can also manage the project on your behalf including supervising the trades, overseeing furniture installation and dressing the room once completed.
